How to use Voicenotes on Android

Voicenotes is available on Android, giving you the full power of AI-powered voice recording right from your phone. Here's how to get started.

Download and install the app

Open the Google Play Store on your Android device and search for Voicenotes. Tap Install to download the app.

Create or sign in to your account

Once the app opens, you'll be guided through a short onboarding flow. You can create a new Voicenotes account or sign in to an existing one. Follow the prompts to set up your profile.

Choose a plan (optional)

After signing in, you'll have the option to choose a subscription plan. You can upgrade to Pro or continue with the free plan — either way, you'll land on the app's home screen and can start using Voicenotes right away.

Recording a note

Tap the record button to start capturing audio. Voicenotes automatically detects the type of recording based on context:

  • Memo - a single-speaker recording, such as a personal thought, idea, or reminder. Voicenotes transcribes it instantly and generates a title and summary.

  • Meeting - a multi-speaker recording. Voicenotes detects the different speakers and produces a complete meeting report, including key points, follow-up actions, and a full transcript organised by speaker.

  • Dictation (upcoming) - Use Voicenotes keyboard to speak instead of typing on any app.

You don't need to select between Memo/Meeting before recording. Voicenotes figures it out for you.

What happens after you record

As soon as your recording finishes, Voicenotes processes it automatically. Within moments you'll see:

  • A generated title for the note

  • A full transcript of everything that was said

  • A summary (for memos) or a structured meeting report (for meetings), capturing the key points and any follow-up actions

Your notes are saved to your home screen, where you can search them, ask AI questions about them, or use the Create feature to turn them into something new.
