Connecting your calendar allows Voicenotes to detect upcoming Google Meet sessions, join them automatically (if you choose), and deliver transcripts and meeting summaries straight to your or all meeting participant's inboxes.
Step 1: Open your Voicenotes settings
In the Voicenotes app, go to Settings.
Select Integrations & Automations.
Choose Calendars.
You’ll see both Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook listed.
Step 2: Connect your Google Calendar
Click Connect next to Google Calendar.
You’ll be redirected to your Google Account.
Select the Google account you want to use with Voicenotes.
Step 3: Grant permissions
Google will show a prompt asking you to allow Voicenotes to:
View events on all of your calendars
This permission is required so Voicenotes can detect meetings you’re hosting or invited to.
Click Allow to continue.
Once approved, you’ll be redirected back to Voicenotes and see a confirmation message.
Step 4: Choose your auto-join preferences
After your calendar is connected, you’ll see options to customize how Voicenotes handles upcoming meetings.
Auto-join calendar meetings
This is enabled by default. When enabled, Voicenotes will automatically join your meetings and take notes for you.
You can choose:
All calendar events with a meeting link
Only events I own
Select the option that best fits how you work.
Manage meeting recap emails
When this setting is enabled, Voicenotes automatically emails a meeting recap after each completed transcript.
You can choose who receives the recap:
Everyone on the invite
Only you
Step 5: Save your settings
Once you’ve adjusted your preferences, click Save.
Your Google Calendar is now fully connected, and Voicenotes will seamlessly handle your upcoming Google Meet sessions.
