The Windows app version is a fast, streamlined capture tool for effortless meeting recording, dictation, and note-taking—perfect for meetings and quick thoughts.
1. Download the installer

Just click the link, download the installer, and you’re ready to go.
2. Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded Voicenotes-Setup.exe
file.
Choose your installation options:
Select whether to install for anyone who uses this computer (all users) or only for yourself.
Choose your install location. Accept the default folder or click browse to select a different one.
Click Install to begin.
3. Handling Windows Defender and antivirus warnings
Because the app is in beta and unsigned, Windows Defender or your antivirus may warn you that "Windows protected your PC."
Click more info, then Run anyway.
Note: Voicenotes is safe to install and use.
4. Complete setup
The installer will show progress and let you know when setup is finished.
Leave "run Voicenotes" checked and click Finish.
5. Launch and sign in
Open Voicenotes from your desktop or start menu.
Sign in with your Voicenotes account, or create a new one if needed.

Voicenotes for Windows is intentionally a simple, streamlined capture tool.
It’s designed for quick, distraction-free recording and dictation—no clutter, no unnecessary features.
Meeting and note tabs: easily switch between recording a meeting or a personal note. Meeting transcriptions will have speaker diarization and timestamps.
Dictation support: use Ctrl + Windows to dictate text into any app.
Screenshot capture: snap screenshots during a recording and add them to your notes.
Customizable hotkeys:
Start meeting recording: Alt + M
Stop meeting recording: Alt + S
Start note recording: Alt + N
Stop note recording: Alt + S
Microphone selection: choose your input device, toggle the mic on or off.
Recording limits: each recording can be up to two hours.
Note: The Windows and Mac desktop apps are both designed to be fast, lightweight capture tools. They are not intended to include all features available in the Voicenotes web app, and there are no plans to make the desktop versions fully featured.
For advanced features, click "web app" in the menu—your browser will open instantly, taking you directly to your full Voicenotes workspace.
