How to Use Voicenotes on Mac

In this guide, you will learn how to download and use the Voicenotes Mac app to take meeting notes—without needing bots or integrations.

Welcome to Voicenotes for Mac! Our new desktop app makes recording meetings and notes incredibly easy, streamlined, and AI-enhanced. Here’s how to get started:

1. Download and Install

First, download the latest version based on your Mac:

After downloading, open the .dmg file and drag Voicenotes into your Applications folder.

2. Grant Permissions

When you first launch Voicenotes, you'll need to set up permissions:

  • Screen Recording Permission:
    Voicenotes requires this to capture screenshots during meetings.
    Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording. If you don't see Voicenotes in the list, click the + button and select Voicenotes from your Applications folder.

3. Start Using Voicenotes

Once set up, just open the app. You’ll find an intuitive, streamlined window designed for ease of use.

Recording a Meeting

  • Click the Record Meeting button to immediately start recording audio from your meeting.

  • You don't need any additional bots or integrations—just start recording directly from the app.

Taking Meeting Notes

At the bottom of the app window, you'll see the additional features:

  • Meeting Notes: Click this to add personal comments, notes, or context during your recording session.

  • Screenshot: Capture instant screenshots during meetings and automatically add them to your notes.

  • More Options:

    • Web App Settings: Quickly jump to the Voicenotes web app and adjust preferences.

    • Check for Updates: Keep your app updated with the latest features.

    • About: Learn more about Voicenotes by visiting the homepage.

    • Help: Find quick help guides and FAQs.

    • Sign Out: Log out from your account.
