Voicenotes | Refund Policy

This article explains Voicenotes' Refund Policy and details how to request a full refund within 14 days of purchase.

Updated yesterday

Voicenotes offers a full, no-questions-asked refund within 14 days of purchase through the web for the following licenses:

  • Voicenotes Yearly plan

  • Voicenotes Monthly plan

Please note that there is a fair usage limit of up to 6 hours of transcription before you can request a full refund. If you made your purchase through the App Store or Google Play Store, you can request a refund within the respective store, but it is completely up to the store's policies if your request gets approved or denied. We understand this is not ideal, but unfortunately, this is not up to our developers.

How to request a refund for purchases made through the web

  1. Reach out to us at [email protected] with ‘Refund request’ as the subject line.

  2. Please share the email ID linked to your account in the refund request.

  3. Share your feedback (optional): We’d really appreciate it if you’d also share your reason for the refund request. You'll receive your full refund anyway regardless of the reasons you share – but this will help us improve our product and make it better for everyone.

  4. We will review your request upon receiving your email. As long as your request was raised within 14 days of purchase, we will promptly cancel the subscription from our end and initiate the refund immediately.

How to request a refund for purchases made through the App Store?

We cannot process the refund through Apple App Store Connect from our end, and you will have to raise the refund request yourself, following these directions:

  1. Open the App Store app.

  2. Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.

  3. Go to Purchased and find the item.

  4. Tap the item, scroll down, and select Report a Problem.

  5. You’ll be redirected to the Report a Problem website. Proceed to raise your request.

  6. Apple will review your claim and make the final decision regarding your subscription. Apple's decision in this matter will be final.

How to request a refund for purchases made through the Google Play Store?

If you purchased a subscription through Google Play’s billing system, according to the general policy of Google Play, you will not receive a refund for the current billing period, but will continue to receive your subscription content for the remainder of the current billing period, regardless of the cancellation date.

Your cancellation goes into effect after the current billing period has passed.

No Refunds for the Believer Plan and Gift Code Purchases

We’ve discontinued the Lifetime Plan (Believer Plan) for new users as of November 12, 2024. We kept the refund option open for 30 days after the last purchase was made. As per our policy, the Believer plan will not be refundable hereafter. The same applies to gift code purchases as well.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What happens if I refund my service?

Refunding a Voicenotes subscription results in the cancellation of your subscription and your account will be downgraded to the Free plan. You can continue using Voicenotes as a Free user.

  • What if I miss a payment and my subscription expires? Will I lose my data?

No, when your subscription expires, your account will simply be downgraded to the Free plan. You can resubscribe anytime to continue enjoying recording without limits.

Please note that if your account is deleted at any time, all associated data will be removed.

  • I canceled the trial a few hours before it ended in the App Store, but I am still charged.

According to App Store policies, cancellation must occur more than 24 hours before the end of the trial to guarantee the user is not charged. If you canceled too late (e.g., a few hours before the end), the system may have already queued the renewal and processed the payment.

Apple processes trial cancellations with a grace period, and canceling a trial does not immediately revoke access or guarantee avoidance of a charge if the cancellation occurs too close to the trial expiry time. To avoid charges, cancel your trial at least 24 hours before it ends.
